On Friday, March 9, 2012, YRP R&D Promotion Committee and Global ICT Standardisation Forum for India (GISFI) concluded a Memorandum of Understanding to promote mutual understanding and cooperation. Representing each organization, Prof. Dr. Mitsutoshi Hatori, Chairman, and Mr. Akio Motai, President of YRP R&D Promotion Committee, and Prof. Dr. Ramjee Prasad, Founding Chairman of GISFI, signed the MoU.
The Global ICT Standardization Forum for India (GISFI) is an Indian standardization body established in December 2008, which is active in the area of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and related application areas, such as energy, telemedicine, wireless robotics, and biotechnology.
In cooperation with the Indian government and international standardization organizations, GISFI implements both Indian and global standardization policies and is focused on strengthening the ties among leading and emerging scholars and institutions in and out of India to develop and cultivate a research and development agenda for the field. GISFI also addresses the research and product development of ICT in India and provides a bridge towards the globalization of the Indian achievements.
YRP and GISFI cooperate with each other and establish the appropriate friendly relationship, especially, in the field of global inter-operability, network security, innovative network service and R&D for global standardisation.
