From December 3rd to 6th, 2007, the YRP R & D Promotion Committee and the National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT) held the 10th International Symposium on Wireless Personal Multimedia Communications(WPMC'07) in Jaipur, India ,by joint sponsorship with The LNM
Institute of Information Technology, India.

The Wireless Personal Multimedia Communications (WPMC) Symposia series was inaugurated in 1998 at Yokosuka Research Park, Japan as a global platform to enable collaboration and mutual cooperation in the field of wireless information and multimedia communications.
Since then, WPMC has established itself as a uniquely global conference dedicated to wireless multimedia convergence, held in various countries in the world.

As for this number of total participants, 55 invitation lectures and 3 panel sessions were done additionally by 299 people (29 countries) by 310 numbers of contribution theses and 195 numbers of adoption theses.
This fiscal year's 6 winning a prize theses (3 cases of WPMC '07 Award for Best Paper and 3 cases of WPMC '07 Award for Best Student Paper) are mentioned below.

¡@The WPMC2008 will be held in Lapland,Finland.
